Meet Andrew, a 2024 Cook-Off finalist!!
The 2024 K12 National Cook-Off was a culinary spectacle showcasing the incredible talents of young chefs from across the country. Held at the Kitchen of Purpose in Arlington, Virginia, this year’s competition was fierce, but Andrew, a 7th grader from Wisconsin Virtual Academy, truly stood out as one of our exceptional finalists!
Chef Andrew’s Dish Impressed the Judges
In the final round, the six student finalists drew cards to determine the protein and side dish ingredients they would incorporate into their entrees. Chef Andrew drew salmon as his protein and was tasked with asparagus, carrots, and potatoes for his side dishes.

He brought his own flair to the dish, pairing the perfectly seasoned salmon with glazed carrots, roasted asparagus, and sautéed potatoes. His clean execution and thoughtful use of ingredients made his entrée a standout.
