Student Services

McKinney-Vento (MKV) is a program that offers support to students and families dealing with housing insecurity and homelessness (defined as lacking a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence).

WVA (Wisconsin Virtual Academies) can provide support and resources to help families that qualify as MKV get back on their feet and work towards finding stable housing. We also have resources for mental health, transportation, and other needs that one might struggle with.

Foster care refers to children whose custody has been transferred to the state. Students who qualify for foster may be living in a variety of situations. 

WVA can provide support and resources to help families and students that qualify including counseling, transportation, mental health resources, enrollment assistance, and more.

Migrant refers to families or students who have migrated/moved to Wisconsin from another country.

WVA can provide resources and support to migrant students and families such as transportation, translation, language learning support, health care resources, and support helping students settle into their new education platform.
