LC Voice and Community

Wisconsin Virtual Academies has established a Charter Schools’-wide Family Advisory Council to provide advice on all matters related to parental involvement and school improvement (per policy 2261.01). This council engages with parents, learning coaches and family members through the year in order to build the capacity of family/school partnerships and engagement.

The Council meets regularly in order to identify barriers to family engagement, assess the needs of families and students and plan for strategies to support engagement and improvement. Specifically the goals of the council are to:

  • Address feedback from families collected through multiple modes (Social media, LC Community Page, surveys and listening sessions)
  • Communicate, collaborate and problem solve as representatives of the LC community with the Executive Director and Administrative Team
  • Plan and develop strategies to support students and families served by our charter schools

Meeting Schedule: 4th Friday of the month at 11:00 am
