Enrollment for the 2018–2019 School Year
The Open Enrollment Alternative Application is still available.
Please note: March 4, 2019 was the second semester enrollment deadline for Alternative Applications submitted for students in grades 6–12 under the reason of 'in the best interest of the pupil.'
If you would like to submit an Open Enrollment Alternative Application for the 2018–2019 school year and you meet one of the exceptions outlined by the Department of Public Instruction policy [PDF], follow the steps below.
Step 1: Complete an Open Enrollment Alternative Application [PDF].
Step 2: Submit the application along with a letter of explanation and/or documentation to the WIVA office via:

* You must select a reason(s) for request on page 2 of the application and provide a written explanation of circumstances leading to the request in order for your application to be processed.
Step 3: Review of Open Enrollment Alternative Applications can take up to 20 days. Families will receive a letter in the mail indicating if their application is approved or denied. If approved, next steps on how to enroll will be included in the letter.
