Shawna Stueck, Elementary Teacher (Grades K–2)
Shawna holds a bachelor's degree and is licensed in both early childhood education and early childhood special education from Silver Lake College. She has taught children for more than a decade in a variety of environments, including as a substitute teacher in school districts in Northeast Wisconsin, and also as a museum program educator in Wisconsin and Virginia. Shawna has completed 18 master's degree level credits in response to intervention, mathematics, and professional learning teams through a cooperative program by Silver Lake College and CESA 7. She desires to complete her master's degree in educational leadership. Shawna has experience as a math and reading tutor, PTO president, and homeschool educator, and is a Learning Coach to three WIVA students. Shawna has a great love of history, and her favorite quote is by Theodore Roosevelt, "Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing." Shawna feels that the opportunity to teach at WIVA is far and away work worth doing.
Angie Zak, Elementary Teacher (Grades K–2)
Angie Zak graduated from UW-Whitewater with a degree in elementary education, pre-K through grade 6. She went on to obtain her master's degree in quality teaching strategies from Graceland University's online program. Currently, she is working toward a degree in the Reading #316 program. Angie spent ten years teaching for Milwaukee Public Schools. Having participated in an online master's degree program, Angie is a cheerleader for the virtual environment and is thrilled to be working with WIVA families.
