How to Enroll
Wisconsin Department of Health Services Secretary-designee Andrea Palm, under the direction of Gov. Evers, issued an order closing Wisconsin public schools due to COVID-19. Until direction has been provided regarding the reopening of Wisconsin public schools, Open Enrollment Alternative application submission is suspended until further notice.
If you would like to submit an Open Enrollment Alternative Application for the upcoming 2019–2020 school year and you meet one of the exceptions outlined by the Department of Public Instruction policy, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Complete an Open Enrollment Alternative Application digitally via DocuSign. A copy of this completed form will automatically be submitted to our Wisconsin Virtual Academy school staff and to the email address you provided on your application.
Step 2: Review of Open Enrollment Alternative Applications can take up to 20 days. Families will receive a letter in the mail indicating if their application is approved or denied. If approved, next steps on how to enroll will be included in the letter.
