Testing and Assessments Schedule

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has implemented a variety of assessments that are required by all public schools in the state of Wisconsin. As WIVA is a public charter school, we follow these testing guidelines. The purpose of this message is to help inform you of the testing schedule for WIVA students for the upcoming school year.

To keep you abreast of our testing schedule, we will use the following communication plan:

  • You will receive an e-mail explaining which assessments your child will participate in and outlining testing expectations for all grades. (See chart below.)
  • A few months before the test date, you will receive grade-specific assessment information, including locations, dates, and times. At this point, you will be asked to confirm your testing date and time. Our testing database chooses the closest location to your home; however, you can choose any of the listed testing sites for your child.
  • One week prior to the test dates, we'll send you a reminder e-mail with any additional information you may need.

In addition to this, we will have testing information on our website, communication from advisors and teachers, as well as informational pieces in the monthly newsletters and the WIVA Weekly.

At any time, please feel free to call WIVA's testing coordinator at 608.838.9482, ext. 1111, if you need clarification on the information you are receiving.
