The Open Enrollment Alternative Application is now available.
If you would like to submit an Open Enrollment Alternative Application for the upcoming 2017–2018 school year and you meet one of the exceptions outlined by the Department of Public Instruction policy, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Complete an Open Enrollment Alternative Application
Step 2: Submit the application along with a letter of explanation and/or documentation to the WIVA office via:

Step 3: Review of Open Enrollment Alternative Applications can take up to 20 days. Families will receive a letter in the mail indicating if their application is approved or denied. If approved, next steps on how to enroll will be included in the letter.
Please note: The first semester enrollment deadline has passed for Alternative Applications submitted for students in grades 6–12 under the reason of 'in the best interest'. For second semester enrollment applications can be submitted after January 2, 2018.
